Are Electric Candles as Good as the Real Thing?

Some people have found that using electric candles are safer to use when needed to have a long burning candle for an event.

There are many occasions, whether religious in nature or not, that call for candles being lit and burned for long periods of time (even up to several days).  Unfortunately we also know that burning candles for long periods of time or unattended can lead to fire danger.  For this reason, over the years electric candles have become very popular.

Photosensitive electric candles turn on at dusk and turn off when other light approaches them. Several churches have switched to electric or battery-powered candles for use within their sanctuary to prevent fire. Other churches however, do not permit electric or battery-powered candles to be used at all, because these candles are considered "false", demonstrating a flawed integrity. On the whole, when proper safety measures are taken, candles can add meaning and beauty to any ceremony.
